Help feed and care for the permanently injured birds-of-prey, and support the maintenance of nature displays and nature programming at Downs Park by contributing to the Adopt-An-Owl program. These birds have received injuries which render them incapable of surviving without our help. The park currently houses 2 Great Horned Owls and 2 Red-Tailed Hawks, and maintains several aquariums and reptile displays. Contact Ranger Stacey for additional information at (410) 222-6230.

How Does it Work?

Screech Owl ($10 donation) You get an authentic adopt-an-owl certificate plus your name on a wooden owl which will be displayed in the official adopt-an-owl bulletin board.

Barred Owl ($20 donation) You get an authentic adopt-an-owl certificate, your name on a wooden owl which will be displayed in the official adopt-an-owl bulletin board, plus one official adopt-an-owl t-shirt.

Great Horned Owl ($40 donation) You get an authentic adopt-an-owl certificate, your name on a wooden owl which will be displayed in the official adopt-an-owl bulletin board, plus two official adopt-an-owl t-shirt.

The official adopt-an-owl bulletin board is located by the Information Center. Wooden owls will be displayed for one year. Please call the park office at (410) 222-6230 for more information or fill out the donation form below and mail it with your donation.
