Mr. George Steg received the Golden Trowel award for his contributions to the two large Kidney shaped beds in the front of Mother's Garden. Mr. Steg puts in over twenty hours a year on his garden plots and provides maintenance for the numerous benches found throughout the garden. Also worth mentioning, Mr. Steg was a 2005 Ron Blake Award recipient.

Bob and Sharon Rankin received a SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD for their gardening contributions to the park. The Rankins maintain two beds within Mother's Garden. In addition, they also maintain the garden plot at the North Overlook and at the Pond. Between the two of them, the Rankins put in a large number of hours each year maintaining their four separate garden areas. In addition, the Rankins are always present during Garden workdays and Garden beautification days at the park.

The final award of the year went to Mike and Ruth Torres. Once again it was a SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD, for their contributions to Mother's Garden. The Torres' also maintain a garden plot in Mother's Garden and are present nearly every week during the growing season.
